While “president” bush gave his obligatory (is anything really “obligatory” for our “unitary executive” anymore?–more to come) Memorial Day speech at Arlington National Cemetery, bad news pored in from Iraq. 

Contrary to what bush would have us believe, violence escalates, and bush’s artificially orchestrated Iraqi “government” continues irrelevant to the harsh realities surrounding it’s sequestration in the Baghdad “green (twilight?) zone”. 

The Washington Post reports that 3,500 troops, stationed in Ku-wait-not-another-minute will move into Iraq’s wild west, Anbar province. This in response to calls for help from both Marines and Sunni tribal chiefs. (more…)
